The lovely laurab1 has graced I Had No Idea I Had Been Traveling with more art, this time a cover illustrating the latest installment, There Are Some Men Who Should Have Mountains to Bear Their Names to Time. You can find the piece here. [Spoilers for the installment!] It's gorgeous, and the story really cried out for an illustration, I thought. Please do ( Read more... )

Hello. Sorry to pop out of nowhere. I've friended both you and rm because I want more TW/Whovian/Merlin/HPish type people on my flist (I'm transitioning fandoms, if you will), and you are both Smart People Who Write Interesting Things. Hope that's okay. :)

Don't feel you need to friend me back, though it is, of course, most welcome. My LJ has had a lot of personal posts on it lately which may not interest people I've just "met."

Hello! *friends back* It is more than okay; it is lovely. I actually like personal posts. Because it is nice getting to know people and not just their fan-creations.

Transitioning fandoms? As in TW/Who => Merlin/HP or the other way 'round?

I am planning on waiting to start posting Merlin fic till we are done with IHNIIHBT for otherwise, but best laid plans and all that ;-)

Oh no...I am transitioning from LOTR in which I wrote and contributed quite a lot for 4+ years. I have been trying to get more active in TW, Who, Merlin, etc but it was difficult since most of my flist aren't into those shows. :)

I can't wait for the conclusion to IHNIIHBT. It's so cleverly and thoughtfully done. And I look forward to Merlin fics! I hope you'll both still kick in the occasional TW fic, though. ;) Would love to see any additional windows into your J/I story and relationship, which has to be the most realistic portrayal of their fucked-up, kinky, affectionate, loving, doomed relationship I have ever read.

Ahh, I see. Yeah, switching fandoms is hard. My last one (HP), hardly anyone knew me at all, so my flist was very tiny, and consisted mainly of people who knew me in RL, and before that it was Buffy, where I only lurked. So I haven't *really* had to deal with it yet, but can imagine how difficult it must be. Fortunately, many people who like TW seem to be interested in Merlin, which I am grateful for.
