the brits are coming!

The two shows I'm most looking forward to this fall hail from the UK: Merlin and Downton Abbey.

The Knights of Camelot have now been upped to series regulars. This Digital Spy Interview with Rupert (Sir Leon), Eoin (Sir Gwaine) & Tom (Sir Percival) is adorable!

we don't get those shows here. well, we had merlin but i don't think we're getting new episodes of that anymore.

one of our pay channels did a new version of camelot featuring joseph fiennes as merlin. it was the most gritty merlin i've ever seen (game of thrones, anyone) but other wise the series wasn't that good and they cancelled it after one season.

downtown abbey looks fantastic.

Merlin's first season aired on NBC but then it moved to its sister cable network, Syfy, but they air at least six months to a year after the British run. Which is why many fans find alternative methods to view it when the Brits do. Season 4 starts this fall on the BBC. The first two seasons are available free on Hulu. It's definitely a family show but it's gotten a little darker and more complex every year ( ... )

Bwaaahaaahaaaa! That Merlin interview. OMG. Srsly. Mancandy galore. Their dialogue is cute to watch, but it was the gratuitous camera leering had me giggling the whole way through. So ridiculous. And awesome.

I'll raise my glass to that! It was originally thought that Doctor Who would come back in the fall and push Merlin to winter/spring. Instead, Doctor Who is airing right now and Merlin will begin as soon as it's done on October 8.
