woah... sounds like you caught it before the battery exploded... that would have been fatal for the ipod. Go you!

Yeah...thankfully it started clicking on it's own otherwise I probably would've just left it go.

Hmm, after reading this I think it's time to fetch my iPod off the HiFi and allow it to discharge a cycle. It's too bad they can't be taught to do that automatically after being docked for x number of days.

I always thought LIon batteries didn't need any hand holding like NiCads.
