AN: I think it’s my first time writing something this long… also, it’s my first time participating on a fic fest, please enjoy!
“Have you ever wondered how life would be if we were three in our family?”
“What do you mean?”
“You know what I mean, ‘Soo”
“I really don’t know this time Jongin.”
“I’m saying, Kyungsoo, that we should start a family now.”
“But what do you mean? We are a family now, love.”
“Yes we are but, ‘Soo, I want to have a baby.”
There was a silence after these words, and Jongin feared the worst; rejection. But the truth is that, Kyungsoo wanted to have a baby as much as Jongin wanted, so he happily declared:
“I think it would be awesome to have a baby in our family.”
Kyungsoo and Jongin’s relationship was always fun, yet, probably the most romantic of all the couples one could ever see in their lifetime, that was because they complemented and understood each other in a spiritual level not even Kyungsoo nor Jongin could explain.
After long and romantic years of relationship with many ups and a few downs that ended, most of the time, in happy crying and cuddles, the couple finally gave each other the yes they needed the most and their life as a married couple began.
Once married, they had a routine, and they loved that routine, the couple never failed to do it, even after 2 years of being married to each other; Kyungsoo would get out of work first from the boring building (as Jongin likes to call it) and he would head directly to their cozy home, and even sometimes making a quick stop at the pastries store Jongin loves to get some muffins for his husband. Over the years, Kyungsoo noticed how Jongin has an extreme love for candies and sweet food, and seeing a smile on his face was something that Kyungsoo treasured the most.
Not being over yet, the routine continues as Jongin leaves the fun building a.k.a. The ballet studio just an hour later. Kyungsoo would welcome a covered-in-sweat Jongin with a loving kiss and a warm hug that the younger always reciprocates with the same amount of love Kyungsoo deserves, even when sometimes it’s gross, “but that’s love at its finest”, the couple would think.
But anyways, this day was different.
Because after what it felt like an eternity, Kyungsoo and Jongin were finally granted the permission to adopt a baby, and they couldn’t be more ecstatic. They were going to be parents to a perfect one year old little girl they decided, after a long debate that included Byun Baekhyun shouting random names at them, to name their baby daughter: Youngji.
When they first saw her it was like love at first sight; big eyes full of wonder that Jongin could only relate them to Kyungsoo’s and a smile that Kyungsoo swore it could bring world peace. Everything about their baby screamed pure perfection.
With the baby now being part of the Do-Kim family, Kyungsoo and Jongin knew that they had to make her feel like the luckiest girl alive. With the advantage of both of her parents being very well paid, her life quality and status was going to assure her the best way of living a one year old baby could ever have.
Having that said, Kyungsoo and Jongin will only focus in one little detail, this one is making sure she is never going to miss the most important in life; love.
-
At the moment they heard they were candidates for adoption, Kyungsoo and Jongin made sure their house was prepared for a baby and that meant, a room for her, which was obviously filled with stuffed animals, courtesy of her new uncles, Baekhyun and Chanyeol, this pair were the reason why the soon-to-be parents met in the first place, said couple was almost as ecstatic as Jongin and Kyungsoo when they gave them the news about a baby arriving to the Do - Kim household. In the new baby room there was also a crib, that was built by Kyungsoo because Jongin hates manuals (not to say he sucks and it’s bad at following instructions) and baby toys, plus a closet that had the most adorable outfits, courtesy of another couple of new uncles for Youngji; Minseok and Jongdae, these two thought it would be cute for the little baby to try on a huge amount of various animal onesies.
When Youngji was installed and peacefully resting on her crib, Kyungsoo and Jongin took the time to carefully look at her, both of them amazed by her beauty.
“Oh dear, Kyungsoo, isn’t she beautiful? “ Jongin said with heart eyes looking at his daughter, who was lying on her fluffy crib, which was carefully nested by himself.
Youngji finally decided that it was time to close her eyes and drift to Dreamland. It was her first night at home and the couple hasn’t left her daughter’s room since they arrived from the adoption center, making sure Youngji liked every single inch of the room.
“She is, she is really cute. And she’s ours. “ Kyungsoo’s voice was filled with pride.
Holding each other, the couple kept on staring at their bundle of joy, Kyungsoo surrounding Jongin’s waist with a strong arm, while the other was hugging the smaller man by the shoulders, making the whole room fill with their love.
The only thing that could be heard was the soft breathing coming from the three members of the Do-Kim family, until this silence was broke.
“But, Kyungsoo? “ Jongin articulated with worry on his voice.
“What is it, love?” Kyungsoo had an idea of what may come out next from his husband lips, but he was totally ready to hear out his worries and soothe them the best way he can.
“What if… what if we are not good parents for her?”
That was the same worry Kyungsoo had, but Jongin has always be the most talkative one in their relationship, being the more likely express his worries in a vocal way, while Kyungsoo preferred to keep it inside and write it down later on a special notebook he kept, all of this was used by the elder to self-analyse what was wrong with him and what he can do to fix his worry. They have been like this since they knew each other, and it was a dynamic that worked for the couple so they have no complains about this, yet, the communication factor was never missed and the attention they dedicated to each other concerns and thoughts was simply amazing.
“I have the same worry too, but hey, no one actually knows how to do this, both of us are new to this “being a parent” thing and it’s a challenge both of us agreed to face, and right now what is important is that we have each other, not to mention our lots friends who support us, “ Kyungsoo started to caress Jongin’s lower back, making comforting circles that helped Jongin to feel a little bit more relieved. “and that’s one of the reasons why we are going to be great parents, you know? Because we always learn from our mistakes and make improvements out from them.”
To change the mood and soothe Jongin’s tense body, he added;
“Also, should I mention how adorable you get when you look at her? I mean, just by looking at you I know how amazing you are going to be as her dad, you have nothing to worry about, hon.”
After these words Jongin swoon at his husband, giving him a soft kiss on his plush cheek, which made the older man create the most adoring smile one could ever do.
“I’m so lucky to have you, you know that? You always know what to say.” Jongin said after he nested his face on the crook of Kyungsoo’s neck, leaving butterfly kisses on it with a smile.
“Should I remember you that you are speaking to Do Kyungsoo? I know everything, duh.” To make the moment lighter, Kyungsoo decided to wiggle his eyebrows giving a suggestive look to Jongin who was looking at him holding a huge smile. “No but, honestly I’m really scared too, we both know that any worry we have about this can be said at any moment. Let’s keep it loud about this topic, I’m promising you that I will talk to you about any concern I have about this, and I hope you can promise me that too, right, babe?”
As Kyungsoo ended this question he lifted up his pinky finger because he know how serious are promises to Jongin, adding the fact that keeping a good communication between them is one of Kyungsoo’s key factors to keep their marriage fun and steady.
This small talk between the couple ended with a laugh from Kyungsoo, which was soon followed by one of Jongin’s, it was until they remembered that they were in their daughter’s room, that the laughing stop becoming a little giggle.
Now between the shushing and giggles, they exited the room and closed the door that was holding a sign that said “Youngji” with a turquoise color because “be damned color and gender stereotypes” (Showing that, once again, rebel Kim Jongin refused to follow any kind of rules dictated by someone who wasn’t Kyungsoo or himself).
Once that they were out of their daughter’s room, they were heading to their own room across the hall, where they resumed the previous conversation with a normal voice tone.
“I think you are going to be an amazing dad, Kyungsoo.”
“You do?”
“Yeah, our Youngji is going to love you so much. “ Kyungsoo stopped walking at the moment he heard his husband words, holding Jongin’s hand right in front of their bedroom door.
“She is going to love you too, Jongin, we are now her parents Nini, give yourself some credit, you deserve it.”
Jongin nodded his head with an exhausted yet happy smile, while he surrounded Kyungsoo’s neck with his arms, caressing the back of his head with his fingertips, this while planting a long and romantic kiss that was welcomed by Kyungsoo adoring lips.
By the time they broke apart their foreheads were pressed together and once again, they were holding each other in their arms, looking at each other directly in their eyes, showing a radiant smile.
“This is going to be an amazing adventure.”
“Yes, you bet it will, and the best thing of it is that we’ll be together in this one and the next ones that are yet to come.”
TWO WEEKS LATER
Happiness in the Do-Kim household has never been so notorious, since the arrival of Do Youngji who has become the center of Jongin and Kyungsoo’s universe. Because honestly, the amount of time they are dedicating to their daughter is somewhat scary but totally enjoyable, Kyungsoo and Jongin have said it many times, and it was that parenthood was of the things they ever wanted as a couple; now that they are living it, the happiness of the couple has been over the roof, it was so notorious that it was contagious for everybody that surrounded them, even at Kyungsoo’ workplace; which was filled with “serious and boring” people, according to Jongin.
The deal between the couple was that Jongin was going to be the one taking the break from the ballet studio classes he has been giving, for a month, maybe two he will dedicate it to his little Youngji. All of this is while Kyungsoo gets the most of his work done at the architect’s building he was currently working at; having the advantage of being the head designer of all the projects, he will soon start to bring his work home to help his husband until they get to establish a new routine, one that could help the three of them to keep the balance of their family, also because both of the new parents doesn’t want to keep Kyungsoo out of Youngji’s life for more than two months.
And right now, Jongin is spending time with his daughter while his loving husband prepares their dinner. Thankfully it was a weekend, and they get to share two whole days together, from morning to night, start to end.
Jongin was sitting in the mattress placed on a special room that was filled with baby toys for their Youngji while said baby picked one by one sitting on her dad’s lap.
Every few minutes she would ask for her banana milk, which the couple discovered a few days ago that it was her favorite, seeing how she will constantly point at the box that held the liquid with a huge smile plastered on her face.
For a moment, she became uncomfortable, showing disgust on her baby face and later on when Jongin didn’t know the reason of it, waves of panic started to surround his whole body. Trying to keep it cool, he checked if her diaper was in need for a change, he also checked if any of her toys rolled a far distance from her little short arms. He tried to check everything and not miss a single detail.
When Jongin noticed that she started whimpering is when he realized that he needed to hurry with his husband, knowing that he might surely know what was wrong with their daughter.
“He knows everything”
With his overprotective senses on the edge, poor Kim Jongin walked to the kitchen with his daughter carefully nested in his arms and knocked loudly on the door frame to get Kyungsoo’s attention.
When his husband finally looked up from the chicken stew he was preparing for the three of them, he gave them a huge smile and walked towards his loved ones.
“Well, hello my two little pieces of heaven!” Adjusting the apron he was wearing with an unexpected good and cheesy mood he placed a kiss on the edge of Jongin’s lips and smiled lovingly to her daughter who was still moving around on Jongin’s arms.
“What can I do for you babe?”
Jongin who only managed to create a little smile over the cute words and act his husband just did instantly shook his head and came back to reality: his daughter’s health.
“There’s no time to be cheesy, I think Youngji is sick!”
“What makes you say that?”
“Just now she started whimpering around and making as if something is hurting her.”
After these words Kyungsoo immediately touched her daughter’s forehead with care and checked if there was something wrong with her temperature.
“Her temperature is normal, maybe it’s a gas? You know how babies are totally unable to control those bombs…”
“No, ‘Soo, I think something else is wrong!”
Jongin said as Youngji started to sob and look at her parents with teary eyes.
“Something is hurting her, Kyungsoo!”
“Okay, first, Jongin, you need to calm down, second, go to the car right now I’m going to grab my wallet and any of the stuff we may need there, then we are taking her to the hospital, okay? But you need to calm down baby. “ Jongin in panic is the worst Jongin according to Kyungsoo. Kim Jongin in panic is the type of people that goes into a mental collapse and his thinking goes over the roof and every little thing that happens makes Jongin really edgy. But may the Gods bless Do Kyungsoo who has known his husband for almost 6 years, making him actually able to know what to do in these kind of situations.
Before letting Jongin and his daughter get into the car, he kissed her little baby fluffy cheeks to calm her down a bit, which seemed to work.
“Now, go. I won’t take long. “ Kyungsoo said shutting down the stove, and seconds later he disappeared into their room to pick up everything they needed for a visit to a hospital.
Once the whole Do-Kim family was in the car, Kyungsoo started the engine and drove towards the hospital, not before making sure both his husband and daughter are wearing their seatbelts and Youngji is well seated on her baby car seat.
On their way to the hospital, the trip on the car was full of comforting shushing from Jongin towards his daughter who sobbed because of the discomfort she was feeling, while Kyungsoo only managed to send worried looks to both of his babies (as he likes to call them).
“Jongin I’m sure it’s nothing too bad, besides you know how good Yixing is as a pediatrician, he is the best.”
“I know, I know, but what if it IS something bad, ‘Soo?”
“Nini, you need to stay positive for Youngji, okay? I know how sensitive you get over this kind of situations but you have to keep it together this time, this is our baby we are talking about and you have to smile for her. She looks up to us, you know that.”
When the couple broke the eye contact they were having through the rear-view mirror, Jongin found Youngji’s big eyes looking at him.
It was a stare that he felt it warmed up his soul and made him realize once again how it feels to be a parent and the feeling of having another human being dependent on you.
It also made him realize how much he loved the little bundle of joy that he proudly calls his daughter and how much he was going to fight to keep a smile on her face.
Jongin was so into the moment that he didn’t realized that they arrived to the hospital until Kyungsoo opened the backseat door.
“Nini, you can go and ask for Yixing at the reception while I untangle our little lady from here, please?” Jongin nodded and exited the car and hurriedly walked to the hospital lobby having the chance to hear Kyungsoo, who was making the cheesiest voice towards their daughter while picking her up;
“Okay baby ‘Ji, come with dad to see uncle Yixing.”
When Jongin noticed the first moment Kyungsoo got to hold Youngji, he knew that she was going to become the light of his world, he treated Youngji with such gentleness that she seemed to be a treasure to him.
He loved to see how a smile in Kyungsoo’s face never disappears whenever he talks or interacts with Youngji.
But now they were in the hospital and a chill went through Jongin’s spine. He hated hospitals. But he had to be strong, for Kyungsoo, for Youngji.
He reached the main desk and a nurse instantly greeted him.
“Hello, how can I help you?”
“I’m looking for Doctor Zhang Yixing, a pediatrician, my baby daughter needs help.”
When the nurse made a face, Jongin feared for the worst.
“Doctor Zhang it’s at a meeting right now… would you mind if the general doctor treats her?”
“You don’t understand, we need him.”
“But…”
Kyungsoo’s arrival felt like a lifesaver, Jongin looked at his husband with a worried face and took Youngji off his arms, nesting his daughter who had dry tears in her cheeks.
“We’re here, is something wrong? “ The look on Jongin’s face was enough to Kyungsoo to understand what was happening so the shorter took the word with the nurse.
“I was telling your… uh…” the nurse didn’t knew what kind of relationship Jongin and Kyungsoo had, so they answered at the same time:
“Husband.”
As usual, the look of surprise in the nurse was nothing new to them, that’s why it was ignored.
“Oh, okay… I was telling your husband that Doctor Zhang is not available right now since he is in a meeting with the head doctors of the hospital and…”
“I’m pretty sure if you call him right now and you tell him that Do Kyungsoo and his daughter are here he would come right now, he is a great friend of our family.”
“I will try to call it but I can’t assure you anything.”
It was now Jongin’s turn to speak.
“Please, try, we don’t know what our daughter has and we fear she is hurt…”
With a nod, the nurse took the phone and pressed some numbers on it. Jongin and Kyungsoo stood still in front of the desk listening to the conversation the nurse was having with somebody on the phone.
“Yes, is Doctor Zhang there?”
Quiet.
“Can you put him in the phone? It’s an emergency.”
It was quiet for a moment until the nurse voice was heard again.
“Yes, Doctor Zhang? I’m here in the lobby with Do Kyungsoo and…”
Now there was a pause.
“Yes, they’re here with their daughter…”
The nurse made silence again, and suddenly hang up.
This only made Jongin more anxious as he was taking note of each expression of the nurse.
“He is coming right now, you can wait for him on his office, you will see it if you walk straight down the hall, number 10.”
“Thank you so much.”
It all felt like Jongin and Kyungsoo got their soul back and Jongin with one hand held Youngji close to his body, making her feel protected and with the other, he let Kyungsoo interlock their fingers while they were walking towards the office number 10.
-
“Well well! Hello there! My favorite family is here, what can I do for you?”
The amount of happiness radiating from Yixing’s body was amazingly common for the couple so Kyungsoo and Jongin gave their friend a warm smile as Kyungsoo spoke.
“Well, our little girl here,” The amount of calm Kyungsoo was having over this situation was amazing, it was almost contagious,”is giving us a little hard time trying to figure it out what is wrong with her, but from what I felt, it’s not a fever. Obviously what I did does not compare nothing to your work, so we are hoping you could tell us what’s wrong with her? Please?” It was really rare to see Kyungsoo asking for something with this kind of urgency, but as he saw before, when it comes to their daughter, both Kyungsoo and Jongin would give up anything to see their Youngji smile.
“Of course I can help you, anything for my favourite patient!” As Yixing approached to the couple Youngji seemed to recognize the face of the man that was standing in front of her and held her arms towards Yixing, after all, she’s been seeing him frequently since Yixing is Kyungsoo and Jongin’s neighbor.
“It’s really cute when she remembers me.” Yixing mentions with a huge smile upon his face as he took Youngji on his arms and walked with her towards his examination table, where he laid her on a bed designed for babies.
And for Jongin’s surprise she stayed totally still while Yixing examined her, but it wasn’t until that the doctor pressed a little bit on her stomach that a whimper flooded the room almost followed by tears, which made Jongin get a hold of Kyungsoo’s hand in fear, the other one gave Jongin a reassuring squeeze that expressed that he was as scared as Jongin was.
Yixing kept on checking for any other signal on Youngji’s organs and body, and after minutes that felt like an eternity for the couple, Yixing finally took the baby girl on his arms and looked at them with a soft smile, as if he was telling them “everything is going to be fine”.
Jongin was so anxious to know what was happening to his baby girl that didn’t gave Yixing enough time to sit down to place Youngji on his lap before he spoke.
“So? What is wrong with Youngji?”
“Did she ate something before coming here?”
When Yixing started giving her some reassuring really soft pats on her baby tummy, Kyungsoo took as a signal of what was wrong.
“I don’t…” It was rare for this to happen, but Jongin interrupted Kyungsoo.
“She drank banana milk.” Kyungsoo looked at Jongin with his big eyes wide open, since he wasn’t aware of that, he put extra attention to what Jongin had to say.
“For how long has she been drinking this?”
“Well, she arrived two weeks ago or so, right? I think she started enjoying drinking this for what it would be 4 days in a row.”
“I see… well, from what I saw, she might just have a little stomach ache,” Jongin wanted to sigh of happiness over the fact that it was nothing sever for her health but at the thought of how uncomfortable might be feeling his baby girl, he put more attention on what was coming next. “The amount of lactose that she consumed is most probably the reason her stomach is “upset”.
Jongin kept thinking of the situation and came to a conclusion.
“… So it was my fault.” His shoulders dropped in disappointment and Kyungsoo felt horrible seeing his husband this way.
“Jongin, don’t say that. It was not your fault.”
Kyungsoo saw how the little ray of light on Jongin’s face was starting to disappear and he knew he couldn’t let that happen.
“Look at me, Jongin, please.”
But Jongin wouldn’t listen.
Kyungsoo’s heart started to shrink at the sight and sent a glare to Yixing, who understood perfectly what it meant.
“If you excuse me, me and this lady will go and write the recipe of what she has to drink to make her feel as energetic as always in the less amount of time, okay?.”
Kyungsoo expected a better reaction from Jongin, but they only got a nod from him. Yixing saw the frustration on his friend face, so he stood up with Youngji in his arms and looked directly at Jongin for a second and then exited the room to give the couple a moment of privacy. As soon as the door shut, Jongin started to sob.
“Jongin, please look at me.” Kyungsoo’s voice started to sound like a plea this time.
With tears on the edge of Jongin eyes, he looked at his husband.
“It was my fault, Kyungsoo.”
The sound of Jongin voice breaking apart were like daggers to Kyungsoo’s heart.
“My big baby ballerino, come here.” Kyungsoo held out his arms and Jongin instantly fell into them, adoring the way he felt safe there. “We talked about this, Nini… do you remember what I told you about being parents?”
There was a nod between the sobbing coming from Jongin.
“Can you tell me what it was?”
Another nod followed by a sob.
“That…” sob. “that no one actually knows how…” sob. “…how to be parents…” another sob. “And that…” in a slowly way, Jongin was starting to calm down, so Kyungsoo took the opportunity to take the tears out of his husband’s face with his thumb. “…That we have to learn from our mistakes.”
“Exactly, and this is a lesson for us, I mean, it’s hard but these kind of lessons are the ones that we remember the most. It’s a lesson for our family and we have to keep it in our mind to become the parents we want to be for our Youngji, right baby?”
“You’re right… again.”
The last word came out as if Jongin was mocking Kyungsoo. Finally the mood was starting to light up and Jongin being happy and cheerful was something that Kyungsoo couldn’t miss it for nothing in the world
“I know, I’m always right, that’s why you married me.”
“Oh you’re being modest now, Mr. Do?” A smile appeared on Jongin’s face and Kyungsoo swore he saw the light of his life coming up again.
He leaned on to kiss his husband on the plush lips he totally adores when the door opened, much to the couple surprise.
“Well, now I see that our Jonginnie is okay, I came to give you back your daughter, she misses her cry baby daddy.”
The room was flooded this time with laughter instead of sobs and tears, everything became lighter and Kyungsoo never let go of Jongin’s hand.
Once that Youngji was seated on Kyungsoo’s lap, Yixing took a seat again and showed the couple a recipient sheet which was filled with an unreadable and abstract handwriting which Jongin hoped the employee at the pharmacy would understand to give them the medicine necessary to cure Youngji’s little stomach ache.
While Yixing was giving the explanation to Kyungsoo about what kind of medicine their daughter will be taking, Jongin clinged to his husband arm and never took his eyes out of Youngji’s little figure, who now was more calm and totally focused on playing with his dad ring.
“Baby, I’m sorry this had to happen to you, daddy was really dumb to give you that amount of milk, I promise you I will never let this happen to you again, I’m sorry my little ‘Ji.” Jongin reached to touch her daughter soft cheek, and his daughter happily smiled to him.
He took that smile as a forgiving one and suddenly, he felt how his soul came back to his body.
Kyungsoo was paying attention to what Yixing had to say but it was rather hard concentrating when he felt what was happening right next to him, the feeling of having her daughter on his lap with her soft touch on his hand was relaxing plus the way Jongin’s hand was caressing his arm with his head pressed on his shoulder felt amazingly good, it felt like he was on Cloud 9.
Kyungsoo and Jongin finally understood the meaning of “calm after the storm”, and they loved it.
-
Once again in the Do-Kim Household, the three member family was sitting in their dinner table, it was almost 5 pm when they come back from the hospital, so Kyungsoo took the chance to prepare something non-dangerous for his little daughter; mashed apples.
Sitting in her baby chair, Do Youngji was starting to show signs that she was feeling better, giggling every once a while.
“Now Youngji, big mouth!” It was such a cute scene seeing Jongin feeding Youngji with a spoon filled with mashed apples, mostly because the one who opened his mouth was Jongin.
Rebel Kim Jongin became Goofy Kim Jongin.
Kyungsoo was sitting in front of the two persons he loved the most in the world, looking with heart eyes at them until a funny thought made him create a huge grin, and Jongin took a note of that.
“What?” Never taking his eyes out of Youngji’s sight, Jongin made sure his baby was eating the healthy snack.
“You know, I was thinking about what happened earlier and I realized… Youngji was braver than you back there in the hospital.”
This comment actually made Jongin take his eyes out of her daughter’s sight, sending daggers to his husband with one single look, Kyungsoo took the chance and released the biggest laugh ever; which stopped when he felt a kick on his ankle.
“Hey! What was that for?” Indignation was now on his face while he caressed his hurt body, Kyungsoo didn’t realized, but a pout invaded his face.
“Do not make fun of your husband in front of your daughter.” The smooth smile that appeared on Jongin’s face was incredibly attractive, but Kyungsoo couldn’t let him win that easy.
“Well, you just showed violence in front of your daughter.” Goodbye smiley Jongin, hello sassy Kyungsoo.
Frowning, Jongin showed his tongue out to Kyungsoo as a sign that he surrendered, but the attention the couple gained from her daughter was that much that she started clapping and laughing happily clearly entertained by her parent’s, almost making a mess with the mashed apples.
“Oh, now we became your clowns, uh, little lady? You can’t laugh at your dad more than daddy can do.” Childish Jongin started to appear as he laid a good amount of messy smooch on Youngji’s cheek making the baby girl giggle more.
All the pain on Kyungsoo’s ankle disappeared at the sight of his husband and daughter smiling at each other, so he smiled the same way, it felt natural for him to create the most sincere smile he could ever do, feeling nothing but happiness all over his body, treasuring this moment, he felt once again complete.
As it was time to end the day, Youngji was now finally asleep after drinking her medicine, Kyungsoo and Jongin were lying comfortably on their bed, legs tangled with each other, eyes locked upon each other with a warm smile that radiated love.
“What a day, right?” Kyungsoo was the first one to make a move and surround Jongin’s waist with his arms, making the latter closer to his body.
“Tell me about it, I can’t recall how many times I felt like I was going to pass out.”
“Oh, but you were really good today, I actually feel proud of you. And this time I’m not joking.” Jongin was starting to leave kisses on Kyungsoo’s neck until he heard his husband last comment.-
“You think so?”
“Yeah, you kept it together in front of our daughter when I asked you to do that. You made me really happy today aside of what actually happened to our baby, and don’t you dare to apologize, we talked about this Nini.”
It was still taunting him the fact that he overdosed his daughter with banana milk, but seeing her daughter back to normal felt relieving for his poor body and soul.
“Thank you for telling me this, ‘Soo.”
“You don’t need to thank me, love. That’s why I’m here for.”
Jongin took Kyungsoo’s face between his hands and pressed a romantic kiss on his lips, after making it longer, Jongin declared:
“I love you so much.”
“I love you too, my big cry baby.” When Kyungsoo said that he reached down to Jongin to kiss him once again, not wanting to stop in the first place.
“I mean it Kyungsoo.”
“I mean it too honey, but you know you can’t kiss me like that and expect that I only want one of it.”
After 6 years of knowing each other Jongin still blushed like a teenager at the sound of Kyungsoo flirting with him or saying romantic stuff, so he avoided being caught by burying his face on his husband’s neck.
“Shut up, I want to sleep now.” He closed his eyes with the hope Kyungsoo getting rid of the idea. But he didn’t stopped.
“Please? One more, baby?”
“No.”
“Please?”
“No.”
“But I want one…”
“You are becoming a cry baby, Kyungsoo.”
A little more and Kyungsoo knew Jongin would give up any second.
“You know I can become anything for you, Jongin.”
Silence.
“Fine!”
Kyungsoo: 1
Jongin: 0
Now that they finally said their good night’s and closed their eyes, “calm was starting to come after the storm”.
Until baby Do Youngji started crying in the middle of the night.
“Kyungsoo, you go. I gave you the kiss you asked.”
“Fine.”
Kyungsoo: 1
Jongin: 1
THE END
