People in southern states are always portrayed in movies as redneck assholes and racists, but from the visits I've made to the region, I've seen nothing of the kind. The people I've run into there have always been super nice, kind and hospitable.
The South in general is great. I live in the South - like WAAAAY in the south, about an hour drive from to part of the shore from the Gulf of Mexico. However, wen driving UP through Alabama, I think I only met three nice people . . . MAYBE, I know ONE was nice to me
