Was anyone else kind of pissed off that Kurt and Blaine didn't get to slow dance during "Jar of Hearts" when everyone else was dancing?
It didn't because it's a song about cheating. I wouldn't have danced to it with someone I was serious about for that reason. You're not the first person I've seen who's upset about it, but it honestly never occurred to me that they were sitting out that awful lyric for any other reason.

I'm glad I got a good story out of it, though. *G*

This is lovely. I was really disappointed that Blaine was so concerned about what other people would think at prom and he and Kurt couldn't have the same prom experience as anyone else but at the same time I understand why. Thank you for filling in the blanks. I really loved reading it x

I love the "I forgot you were there," idea, because I could absolutely believe that was what was going through Kurt's mind in that moment. I enjoyed this so much.

I WAS really upset that they didn't dance during Jar of Hearts. I think maybe RIB wanted to make the Dancing Queen scene seem more powerful as their "first dance," but I think it would have been MORE powerful to have them slow dancing JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!

I like your explanation of the scene. It really fits well in canon, and makes me feel a little better about the whole prom fiasco.

I think this happens a lot in Glee; it's like, there's totally a good explanation for stuff that would make things in the episodes make a lot more sense and make the characters more sympathetic, but it's never actually IN the show. -_- Oh Glee. I love it so, though.
