I was re-reading abyssinia4077 story Distance From Here to Wherever You Are
( part 1) ( part 2) ( part 3) ( part 4), and feeling gloomy and it got me thinking of the saddest story I've read recently.

It was vain_glorious's story This To Me Is How To Leave Matters Unresolved ( part 1) ( part 2).

This to me is how to leave matters unresolved is incredibly heartbreaking although it have that (barely) hopeful end. Plus Rodney and Teyla as bickering married people is too funny.

Have you read her Unmanifest Destiny? Or In The Year of the Jubilee?

oh yeah, I've read all her fanfiction. I love it even though I'm always sad (even with a happy ending)

Have you read her Light of compassion? WHOA!

Yeah, maybe because the show is ending but I have been reading way more sad ending stuff. Of course "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose" will always be my gold standard for sad SGA fic even though I don't do McShep (it's very subtle). I get choked up even thinking about that one.
