The Less is More mini challenge
So, brynnmck and I started talking today, and realized that fandom needed a quick and dirty challenge, and she suggested this not-so-dirty one, which I LOVE, and it was born! So, come on! Make us squirm with your non-explicitness! *g*
Okay, let's be honest: one of the things we like most about fic is the dirty, dirty porn. And that is a beautiful thing. But sometimes, as our relationship with our beloved porny fic goes on, it gets a little… rote, you know? Tab A, Slot B, ohbabyyou'rethebest and then we roll over and to go sleep. We forget the foreplay. We forget that that sometimes an impassioned speech can be as sexy as a blowjob, and that in the right circumstances, an unbuttoned top button can be as hot as a slow strip tease. Sometimes all you need to get your motor running is a glimpse of tongue or a lazy smile or the light catching on a badge clipped to a sleek leather belt.
Sometimes, in fact, Less is More.
So here's the challenge: write the hottest fic you can (all fandoms are welcome, as is slash, het, threesomes, whatever) that doesn't involve any actual sexing. Maybe some above-the-waist touching (fingertips on a wrist, breath on the back of a neck), and maybe a kiss or two if you absolutely must, but that's it-we want flirting and longing and proximity and teasing and when-we-get-home-I'm-going-to-fuck-you-through-the-mattress non-explicit HOTNESS.
So. This is your teaser, and tomorrow (Wednesday, March 14) will be the official Less is More Day. Pimp at will-we'd love as many participants as possible!
