aradia/sollux - reunion - for kaitjust_0kMay 27 2011, 00:31:10 UTC
The lab is darker than she remembers. Perhaps because the last time she had seen it, she was looking out of illuminated, red eyes that could have competed against flashlights. Now that she could see it through her natural night vision, Aradia navigates the halls carefully. He's here. She knows he is, and he knows that she's looking for him. They've always had that sort of relationship, being prophets and all

sis/bro saturday morning cartoons - for chizujust_0kMay 27 2011, 00:31:48 UTC
The science behind navigating dreambubbles is complicated, but somehow, Bro ends up chilling on a pile of smuppets with his female self watching whatever shit cartoon Dave was watching last. She has some unnamed generic cereal in her hands, slowly Captain Crunching it away for energy.
Bro shoots her a pointed look, his shades glinting against the Texan sun. She better have left some for him.
Sis returns the look, chewing absentmindedly. She bats her long Strider eyelashes innocently.
Bro slumps back against the plush rumps in a disappointed manner. Looks like he'll have to do some house-dad work today. Unironically. Just when he thinks Sis is back to pretending that this isn't happening, he feels her nudge him in the gut. Glancing over, Bro has just enough time to catch the bowl before it falls and its spills its contents on the smuppets left in Sis's wake.
They'll meet again one day, and he knows it. He just wishes the bitch would have left him something other than the sugary milk at the bottom.
aradia/dave - moments frozen in time - for strider [1/2]just_0kMay 27 2011, 00:32:20 UTC
Aradia follows Dave into a club he had once attended with his brother many years ago. Way before Sburb. On Earth, Aradia wanted to know everything. Dave obliged. He holds the door open for her, unironically because when one is out on a date, it's the right thing to do.
Especially when the other half of said date is an alien who, even after several years, is still grasping the concept of human mannerisms and what is considered polite.
She had asked him to pick out an outfit for her, and due to the similarity in size, Dave courteously lent her the red skinny jeans he never wore because they were not ironic enough. She looks enough like a hipster to go out, and even complained that it was too fashionable. That was coming from a troll's standpoint

"Hey, Aradia," he says. She hums in response, moving to take another drink from the bottle. "Let's blow this pop stand."
She looks up again, confused. "What?"
He pauses. "Another phrase. Let's get outta here. Go somewhere else," he mumbles into her head.
"Okay," she says pleasantly. Dave takes the bottle from her hands, and she obliges. "Hey, wait."
"Huh?" Dave is about to set the bottle down on the concrete when he turns back to her and she surprises him with another kiss. Dave decides that if anyone can compete with Bro in a "Catching Dave Off Hand" contest, it's Aradia. And she would fucking win. At least Bro left him notes when he decided it was time for a fight.
aradia/jade - shenanigans - for darajust_0kMay 27 2011, 04:34:55 UTC
Jade's home reminds her of Kanaya's. Everything about it, everything screams Kanaya.
Aradia used to think that the trolls and the kids weren't similar. But experiencing Earth through Jade's dream bubble has changed her mind. She runs a hand over the wardrobifier while Jade prepares food and drink. It is inevitable that she comes across a pile of squiddles tangled together on the ground.
"Jade?" Aradia calls, picking up the tangled squids.
"Huh?"
"What purpose do these serve?" She reattaches them curiously.
"Oh!" Jade nearly forgets what she's doing in excitement for her tangled friends. She happily explains the squidddles, their television show, and their practice of friendship.
Aradia blinks, but accepts the cultural differences in the humans' spread of the disease called friendship.
