Ex-Bosnian Serb army head Ratko Mladic has made his first appearance at The Hague war crimes tribunal, saying he will not enter a plea to the "monstrous" and "obnoxious" charges

Mladic launched an illegal war to defend his people and country that killed several thousand; Bush did likewise but killed 100,000+. Yet one is to be tried, the other feted. The hypocrisy of mankind is beyond belief.
I'm not defending Mladic, but condemning man. Man holds these absurd little show trials periodically to delude himself that he is something other than what he is, a psychopathic mass-murderer, whose history is merely a chronicle of one barbarity after another. Until there is a court that will indite not just the Mladic's of the world, but also the Bush's, the entire enterprise is just a sad, pathetic joke.
A friend of a friend has said almost the exact same thing (on FB).
It sometimes scares me how "right" and "wrong" is a matter decided by the majority (within some given group). It happens in all areas of life, from fashion to raising your children, and even to a large extent in science despite how it *should* work.
It makes you wonder what would happen if the majority somehow got it into their heads that YOU are somehow wrong/bad.
It also makes me understand the motivation behind my communist friends a bit more - although I honestly think their efforts are wasted. At least within this generation. But good on them for trying to make a massive change.
