17 years is a long time.
I don't think I really can
believe in the Rainbow Bridge
but I hope you're with Caspian.

I'm sorry. She was a pretty (and big!) kitty.

*hugs*

Of the trio of cats I had the longest (Caspian, Calliope and MariJane), MariJane was actually the smallest. Caspian topped 20 pounds and his back was as tall as my knee. Caspian and Calliope died last year, they were 16 years old.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat. It's hard to lose furry friends too.

Awww! Your kitty and baby are so sweet!

I can empathize with you. I've lost both a dog and cat since Delia was born and we're likely to lost another cat within the year. Mentally I've prepared myself and realize all my animals are considered geriatric. Emotionally it's another thing all together. You are in my thoughts.

My baby is actually seven 1/2 now. ;) But thank you. I wanted to find a good picture of MariJane (I didn't name her, by the way) and I thought these were sweet. And yes, geriatric is an understatement. She was definitely old and more than ready to go, especially at the end. But it was still a sad day.

I know (approximately) how old Lanie is. She's still sweet and still your baby, no? ;D

Well, yes. Of course. I was just pointing out it wasn't a recent picture. But it obviously wasn't necessary.

Thanks honey!! It is just another part of the politics of teaching. Sucks though because if I do not have a job next year, I don't know what we will do
