2009 Book List

So, last year I read 36 books. See the list here.

I'm beginning my 2009 book list because I wish to chronicle the books read this year. I hope to read as many as last year, if not more, but I'm not going for a number count. I'm hoping to find amazing books that change my life.

Cormac McCarthy's The Road

Arundhati Roy's The God of Small Things

Margaret Atwood's Alias Grace

I like this set up you have to continue your book quest. I might yoink it. I am determined to read at least one book a month this year. It's not nearly as many as you've accomplished, but I know myself, so I don't want to set the expectations too high. I do have a pile of books stacked at my bed side patiently waiting for me though.

Oh my gosh, Alias Grace was amaaaaazing. I read it 2-3 years ago.
I really need to read more MA books.
But, I'm totalllly adding the first 2 to my reading list. They were both books that I have heard about/am interested in!

OH yessss, do it, make the book list! I found for last year it helped me stay on track, and reading for much of the year. And, by year's end, I really appreciated that I had given them little scores on 10 to remind me what I thought of the books!

Vonnegut changed my life in HS, when I first read a book by him.

What are the other 2 about? Themes/genres?
