Tonight I have run out of humour for this situation. Watching insta stories of acquaintances going out despite (or rather in anticipation of) new guidelines, friends with insensitive comments, first world problems and selfish behaviour. This week has been absolutely awful, please just let me go home. 

We're taking a break from Monday rehearsals. 5 weeks came and went. I finally got to take it all in. Couldn't help but smile watching the work-in-progress come together in a complete 5.14 min piece. It wasn't neat, counts, directions, 韵, it is undeniably an unpolished piece.

One more day to the end of a big week - doing a Sunday, doing competencies and co-running a workshop. A handful of firsts I’ve stressed about and prepared for over the last few weeks or months. Definitely a lovely feeling of accomplishment. I hardly feel like this, haven’t felt like this for awhil. It’s nice, feeling like I’m growing...

Why is it that I feel the need to say something, on the days that I need sleep the most? Today has been many things - closing doors, opening new ones and revisiting old familiarities.
