Writer's Block: Words that you love and hate

What are your favorite and least favorite words? Any reasons why?

I hate the word "relationship" applied to a love affair. The terms "love," "liking," "lust," or "friendship" describe most likely love affairs quite well, and actually sound like there are some emotions involved. If it's really twisted and complex, then show or tell it, don't use

I hate that every damn thing today is a "Journey of something or other!" Everything's a journey, and it's really getting to annoy me that nothing's an odessy, trip, pilgrimage, progression, ascent, or quest anymore. Why does work (aside from the commute) have to be a journey? I'd really rather it wasn't, thank you, because I like my cubicle just as it is.

As for favorite . . ."celestial" has a crystalline ring to it that brings stars to mind. . .

Intricate- Complicated, difficult to resolve or analyze.
