The next time a liberal tries to pull moral superiority over you because he opposed the Iraq War, think of this

would still be lying unavenged.

I am not convinced it was our job to avenge them.

I don't think it's the job of the United States to run around the world and right wrongs. The Justice League of America we ain't.

And if it were there are far more places we ignore than we help.

Now, the United States as a the city on the hill, the shining beacon of liberty, that I've got no problem with.

What liberals seem to hate Dubya for is ensuring that the bastard would never, ever commit murder and other atrocities again. What I don't understand is why they're so self-righteous about it!

Saddam Hussein, as a Third World leader, was supposed to be part of the vengeance of the Oppressed against the West. As such, he got their cheers whenever he defied us, no matter how many thousands of his own people he slaughtered. His humiliating and total defeat, followed by his overthrow and execution, was not part of their script, and they hate Bush for doing it, to the point that they will claim (against the clear evidence) that we "lost" the Iraq War, because our defeat was what was supposed to happen. In other words, their (malign) wishful thinking trumps reality, in their own minds.

Which is none other than the product of total psychosis. So how have so many people become functionally psychotic in that fashion? That isn't just a matter of holding stupid opinions. It's holding stupid opinions which require a psychotic world-view to hold them.

One other thing that occurs to me: Dubya made the whole world a little safer by taking down Saddam Hussein, and making it permanent. Those benefiting from it include, among others, liberals' children, grandchildren, and later descendants. Liberals seem to have a strong tendency to attack the very people who are trying to protect their children from serious harm. Now, why?
