I love this little person inside of me, as much as one can love a person you have never met. But it has been very hard to have my fit and toned body taken over since pregnancy. My thighs and tushie are getting that lovely dimpled cottage cheese look. Even my once hot calves are starting to look a little sausage like. Since this is a family show, ( Read more... )

You look great! I'm glad you have plenty of energy and that you're feeling good... it's a blessing.

As for the stroller, you have to consider that you'll be using it for at least two or three years for each kid--and getting a good one that will last two or three years for more than one kid, and one that really does suit your needs in a stroller, $200 isn't actually that unreasonable.

When we went to Babies 'r' us to register for Janie's shower, the woman who helped us was shocked at how short my registry list was. Babies (and moms) don't need half the stuff they want to sell you! So I'm glad you have some experienced moms around to help you make decisions about that :) I will recommend that you get your high chair at IKEA, if you have one around--they have one that is much more streamlined (and easy to clean) than the ones they sell elsewhere.

thank you SO much for the thoughts on baby stuff. I am definitely wanting to keep it simple...I agree that there is way too much STUFF for babies out there. Good to know about the stroller - I hadn't even thought about the fact that it's almost like buying a car...you're going to have it a while. We do have an IKEA - I'll check out their highchairs. Thanks again, Sarah. This was really helpful.

The stroller we got for Randall was pretty good, and we got our money's worth out of it! :) I think we used it for Janie for a year or so before it finally busted.
