But wanting his company overrode her initial misgivings, and that's what found her strolling into the coffee shop ten minutes past four o'clock. Shoving her hands into her pockets, she scanned the room until she found him at the back of it. A small smile on her lips, she walked over to him.
"Is that seat taken?"

His face broke into a grin. It really was good to see her. "It's taken by you," he said, gesturing. "Oh, but I didn't get you a drink because I didn't know what you might want?"

She slid into the spot next to him, waving a hand carelessly. "Don't worry about the drink, I'll get something in a sec. How are you? You haven't been waiting long, have you?"

He settled back into the couch a bit. "I'm doing... okay," he answered. He shrugged. "Busy with work, juggling relationships with the boys, boxing. I've gotten into boxing," he said, almost with disbelief. "Can't really believe that, but you know. It's good. How's it going with you?"
