Do you think my father hates me for forgetting to check the weather forecast?

I was holding it together despite it being Burt’s funeral until that line. Poor Kurt.

I adore this fic. Your characters are all so human; they’ve each lead challenging lives that have inevitably affected their outlook, but you see hints of their younger selves coming through and you’ve even realistically allowed such jaded individuals hope for the future. I love the progression you’ve shown in Puck’s character and in his relationship with Kurt. It’s inspiring.

Finn and Brittany are just fantastic and I can truly imagine Artie filling this role for the group. It was a brilliant idea to have Will being so insightful to the glee dynamic from the beginning too.

Thank you so much for this, it’s gorgeously written.

I'm sorry for the late reply, but thank you so, so much! I just love this comment to pieces. I've read it about thirty times. "Human" is the most flattering description I think an author can receive about her characters, and your insights into their adult selves are so generous--I can't tell you how much I appreciate your nod to their hope, because I really wanted optimism to be the driving force of this story (not that that's worked too well so far, haha). I'm glad Finn, Artie, and Brittany are okay, and I hope that I can maintain Will's importance in the final chapter. Thank you again and again for the kind words and the encouragement--it means the world to me! ♥

So many things, baby, so many things. But Puck's phone call to Artie, of all of them, is the one I want to print out and remember forever.

Stunning.

With the typical Jockchic lateness of replies: thank you a million times for this comment. I feel strangely connected to that little passage, and because you pinpointed it, I feel weak-kneed and totally grateful to you. Thank you, love. You rock my world. ♥

Also, your 100 word drabble comm is about the best thing ever.

Thank you! I was hoping it would help me break through my block and it may have, we'll see. I haven't checked it this evening but of course I would be beyond honored if you join. :D

Beautiful moments everywhere.... all of us? Especially when we’re together? We shine, man. We fucking shine.

Yeah, this I need to remember for ever.

Oh! This is wonderful! I love it. It's amazing and shiny and so very well written. Your characterisations are wonderful and I love the relationships they all have now. I love Artie the most I think.

oh. mygod. seriously, you just tear me up but put me back together with every new installment of this fic. i absolutely love it. your writing is so amazing and vivid and wonderful and full of imagery. like this:

But there she was at ten o’ clock, pushing hard on the club’s pull doors, her blonde hair sparkling under the neon lights of the sign outside.

maybe my favorite sentence. and burt's funeral was gut-wrenching and so so so well done. i loved each of the friends' reactions too and my mouth was pretty much hanging over by the end of it and the idea that that was the last time they were all together.

sorry my comment is long and all over the place. but really, amazing job. thanks so much for writing this and sharing it with us.

...the beautiful lines of his body, his tapered waistline, hipbones and ribs making soft dips and peaks below a smooth plane of skin. Oh, gorgeous.

The bits about their bodies as battlefields and then as monuments, I really liked.

But Puck had been running away from relationships for as long as Kurt had been running into them, and it had to be some kind of sign that they were finally meeting somewhere in the middle.

Santana and Brittany's reunion was so sweet. I love them together. (I really hope the show will do something more with them!)

Basically! I love it. It isn't over, is it?
