Memes and why I fail at them, and also, Rockford!

I started to do the iTunes drabble meme-you know, you put your iTunes on shuffle and write drabbles to the first ten songs-but I started the first one and remembered that I hate writing drabbles. However, I discovered that "Fortress Around Your Heart" makes me think of Sokka and Suki and "Who Do You Think" by Interpol reminds me of Mai, re Zuko. ( Read more... )

While I don't really write drabbles, per se, I am a ridiculously terse writer. So maybe this'll something to occupy myself while on planes this weekend. Except I have a flash drive that only holds about 300 songs. Hmmm...

I don't know that you need a much larger pool than that, unless you feel that the songs you have aren't inspiring. Sometimes it's easier because you'll have fewer songs that you're more familiar with.

It's true. But since my playlists tend to be mood dependent, I'd worry about having ten drabbles all with the same theme.

Oh, god, I just got this mental image of listening to one of my whimsical playlists, and trying to write based on "Frozen Puck to the Head" in a universe that doesn't have hockey...

Honestly at this point I'm waiting to see the last episodes, because most of what's in my head will probably be altered, or answered, or made moot by what happens in them. And since some people have seen them, I'm even shier to post anything, you know, in that getting-Jossed sort of way.

But there's every reason to think that they will be written eventually!
