No, just waxing nostalgic. It's been so long since I've been in an environment where role-playing games were possible, that it's pleasant to see old friends.
I HAVE a surprising number of these games, and I've found others again on eBay, such as Yaquinto's Man, Myth and Magic, which I enjoyed for its setting: Imperial Rome, where (in theory) a Druid from Britain could be found visiting the ancient temples of Thebes! Not until the 18th century would there be a setting like this, where savage tribesmen and wicked, decadent cultures alike were brought under the banner of an Imperial power, whose loyal subjects could then go out and have a blast, be every bit as savage or decadent in turn… knowing that their money's good!
