at 6am, i woke up with that headache. my programs were running. it turned out there were some bugs and that was why it didn't stop running. fixed it and completed one project. it was about henon-heiles map, symplectic integration.. all big names for some not too difficult to grasp ideas. none of the classes i have taken came close to being as tough ( Read more... )

one of my classes is about numerical PDEs. so far it is all about solving PDEs on a grid. i must say the methods are less than a century old and are pretty dumb. the projects are a pain, though i learn a lot from it.
