I am sorry for your sickness and other problems, darling. You have my empathy, and all best wishes. I am glad that you have good friends and family to support you. I too have been sick this week - mostly stomach ailments - and being stuck in college, there was not much support other than from my roommates and friends, yet it was greatly appreciated.

It is odd what we turn out to be good at when we're sick. I once participated in an in-depth discussion while sick, and discovered that some of my best arguments simply flowed at the time. In any case, feel better, and enjoy yourself as much as you can. Remember our unofficial motto, coz - 'All pleasure is worth having'!

I am also disturbingly good at grading while sick. I graded some during fever hallucinations last year, and went through them again when I was feeling better because DAMN that was irresponsible. But no, they were fine. I was probably a better marker because I didn't give out so many pity marks, haha.

I think the lack of pity marks was absolutely key. I also think that maybe I didn't get bored/lose focus as fast, since I was tired out from being sick, so it was easier for me to be really meticulous. And I did the same reread before I handed them back to my students.
