the comment that set off a torrent of dormant... "racism"? :-)tkn1114November 22 2007, 02:32:06 UTC
Hi angry. I've never been over here although I've seen you on LJ in the past. Very good post! So, thanks for letting me crash the party to rib one of my favorite LJers when it comes to this sort of thing: politics and more... the fiercely contentious telemann (of course, I should talk, being as bad, if not worse!) and to share some thoughts after nubbing telemann.
Rib: Now, Telie! As if black English is not American, or English? Whatchutalkinbout???
Musing: I should note that even though I'm first to condemn many black Americans - or yellow or brown, for that matter - religious or not, with regard to discrimination against gay rights (thus, naturally, in agreement with everyone here) I can't help but sense a remote antagonism toward black America lurking somewhere among these comments which seem to flow so freely, indeed. It's as though finally there is an outlet for a certain resentment other than gay rights. Am I wrong

I'd suggest the Rev take a class in English too.
I'm particularly angered by black Americans that rail against homosexuals, given the history of civil rights in this country.

Well, you have to admit it fits the conservative movement - appearances over substance.
