Yay, we won the varsity boat race :) Once we got ahead, it was a pretty easy win, and not a very exciting race to watch, really, but still, a win's a win. There was one quite amusing bit - they have the coxes' microphones linked up to their sound system, so they switched to listen to the Oxford (I think) cox at one point, and they had about 30 secs

Heh, they try broadcasting the coxes every now and then, and every time it stops for the same reason.

Indeed, I seem to recall this happening a couple of years ago - you think they'd learn at some point really.

I leave Hughs for just one short year and they go and get a big screen in the bar. That's just cruel. And yay for winning boat race. The 30 seconds they spent rowing past where I was stood was much closer and very exciting.

it was very close where I saw it. In fact at one point I saw both boats exactly level with each other...
