I have been getting a rash of email forwards lately, the cliched kind that says I'll get bad luck if I don't forward it on. I'm surprised in this day and age that such forwards are still going on. You'd think by now everyone would be savvy to such things???

At lunchtime, I decided to hunt down the fancy new cupcake bakery in the city. Bought some cupcakes. Ate said cupcakes. Notice plural. Why oh why can't I just buy one cupcake at a time? Seriously. Am now suffering from too-many-cupcakes-itis.

Friday fantasy
Had a sore throat all day today. Then this afternoon, as sudden as if someone flipped a switch, I got slammed with congestion, sneezing, body aches. I went home a bit early and took some Benedryl. Then I camped out on the living room floor in front of the tv.

Some books that sell for big bucks on amazon.com sell for far more reasonable prices on amazon.co.uk. Frex, a book that sells only as a used hardcover via a third party on amazon.com for $165 is offered on amazon.co.uk directly as a new paperback for $12 and a new hardcover for $50. Srsly.
