Yeah, LJ is making all these weird changes and is never responsive to complaints or feedback. I just let my paid account expire. Plus, fandom activity is really dropping. :(

WTF would delicious do that? I actually just logged in for the first time in over a year to change that. I also pondered deleting the account, but decided to leave it in case anyone else wants the info for something.

They do have the option to link to your Facebook, Linked In and/or Twitter account, so it seems like they're trying to encourage people to use RL names. BUT, they shouldn't do so without permission/informing users first!

I debated deleting my personal account and ended up deleting all bookmarks except a pointer to my pinboard & a link to a post about this situation. :(

But how it would even know about linkedin or twitter? I made those way after I joined delicious.

I don't think they got people's names from there, it was probably from Yahoo. But the feature speaks to them trying to move toward RL names.
