Sponsoring an AIDS orphan - be an informed donor

World Vision is running a TV ad campaign urging people to sponsor an AIDS orphan today, on World AIDS Day. A fine idea, but please do it through Foster Parents Plan or Save the Children instead of through World Vision. World Vision is part of the rightwing Christian evangelical movement that is trying to stop the AIDS epidemic through abstinence

Christians suck! Really, all they do is try to stop sex ed, oppose gay marriage, and censor tv. Meanwhile, war, disease, starvation, all get token efforts or utter silence.
