And Then There Were None is downright *creepy!* Murder on the Orient Express was somehow quaint and charming - I think Poirot was a comforting figure to have around. But this one is just... madness on an island.

My very nice, expensive, big heavy hardback boxed set of Lord of the Rings (illustrated by Alan Lee) has a very peculiar smell to it. It's not your usual book smell. The glue they used to bind them has a powerful odor, heady and sort of sour. I recall being very disappointed that they smelled that way when I first got them. They didn't smell ( Read more... )
