Yeah... I tried to get unemployment benefits after I quit Walmart. Turns out my old manager lied to whoever called and even if he hadn't lied, I wouldn't have gotten benefits.

Don't ever count on getting unemployment benefits because they're stingy. Unless you've been at a job for, like, years and they fired you for getting hurt on the job. Or something.

::sigh:: Yeah... and since I'm not gonna be actively looking for a job, I'm not really eligible anymore. So, back to the drawing board.

I guess I got a wrong idea of the unemployment folks, because my mom got benefits for a year and a half solid when I was like, fifteen.

They wanted proof that I applied for three jobs a week if I wanted to get unemployment benefits; I kept a journal of all of the jobs I applied for. It sucked because I was going back to school, too. :(

Hey, how's it going? I only barely registered you leaving last night. I was way too drunk to know what the fuck was going on.

I'm getting paid on the 5th and I can loan you the money for the guitar until the end of August. Provided I get to play it sometimes. :)

What did the unemployment people say? I've heard the you have to have worked at your last job for a certain amount of time to get the benefits. Was that the problem?

Simon could probably spend some time at my house too, if we keep him and Sophie out of the same place. Hell, she's too old and lazy to bother him, but he might get a little freaked out. He can totally run around my room though.

P.S. Have you seen this? That might be worth checking out. I'm looking at other stuff on Craigslist for you, but there's a lot of crap.

It's probably easiest if he stays at my mom's the whole time. She's totally willing (hell, she treats him like he's one quarter her cat already) and he's already been over there a lot. Thanks though.

I didn't call the unemployment people. I will on Monday - it won't make any difference one way or the other.

Thanks for the loan - you can totally have visitation rights on the guitar.
