Title: Thank You for the Rain
Chapter: extra 1
Fandom: Arashi
Pairing: several
Word count: 265
Notes: It seems like the next chapter will be one of the longest ones yet. I have already 1352 words written and it's only about halfway done. ;o; This is a little snippet that I ended up cutting. I really liked it, it just didn't fit into the chapter. There's a little bit of the storyline in it, so I thought I'd post it as an extra instead.

chapter 12 Extra 1. The Drawing.
Ohno surprised himself with how easy it was to fall into this drawing, feel the shapes flooding from his fingertips on the paper. He marvelled at how easy it was to draw them, like he had been watching these people for forever.
The sketch flowed out of him, like crystal clear water, glimmering in the back of his head, and Ohno knew it was going to be a watercolour painting.
The pastel shades spread on the paper just as easily as the forms had done. It felt right in a way that made his heart flutter. He stared at the faint shade of golden brown that had on the paper become the colour of Nino's skin. He resisted the sudden urge to rub his fingers over it, like it would feel just like Nino's skin really did. The tips of his fingers were tingling. He stared at the curve of Nino's lips on the paper, drawn with graphite, curving just right, and the realization hit him.
He could draw. He could make forms from graphite and water and pigment and make them look the way he wanted. To make something out of them. He could do this.
The feeling was exhilarating. Even though he knew he was far from perfect and masterful, he still could do it.
There they were, his friends, sitting on a sun spotted lawn, laughing. One picture showing all the warmth he was feeling.
For Nino, he wrote with tiny handwriting in the corner of the painting and signed it. Then he sat back in his chair and watched it dry.
