Continuing the multipart discussion I left off on December 23, 2005: I came to ham radio through electronics, and in part through my father, who had been an Army Airways Communcations System (AACS) radio operator during WWII. Ward Silver and the Vashon-Maury Island Radio Club are offering a free eight week class that culminates with the ham radio test. Mike and I are both attending, with Mike planning to test for the General while I'm aiming for the Tech with Morse.

Whether we'll do anything interesting with ti afterwards remains to be seen....
