Current writer of Wheelock’s Latin to add new chapter for use by MMPORG players

People complain that each edition of Wheelock is even worse than the last, but from what I've seen online this is really needed.

Via quislibet, who himself wrote an excellent Latin for Gamers (and whom I could never get to write the Latin Wikipedia article on vampires)

Brilliant idea. Gamer latin does make me cringe - with one exception... it was a game of Paranoia set in the Dark Ages (Latin was the forbidden bureaucratic language you weren't supposed to know!)
... come to think of it, I was unfairly advantaged when the DM read out the entire mission brief in exquisitely awful Medieval Latin (just right) since I actually understood said brief ;D

Back in the day when I was one of those beginning Latin students this new chapter will be aimed at, I did like to practice by translating texts into the best Latin I could (i.e. terrible Latin), and in fact the back of the Paranoia nth edition box was one of the texts I tried.

One paranoia module mentioned that knowledge of calculus was blue clearence. I so wanted to use that against my friends, who had been studying calculus since, like, gradeschool (and I was really jealous). The idea was to have the computer ask them to solve a problem that required calculus, and I knew they would be unable to resist. And then....
