Gorgeous. The way it seems like several parts of one story really works here. I love how the mood of it seems to go from monster to salvation. Ahh, it just works so well and I'm incoherent but this is beautiful!

This is so very lovely.

I really love the journey that he's on throughout this piece. His struggle to find redemption and salvation, even in Bella, is such a fascinating concept and you've done a beautiful job writing Edward's consideration of it.

The prose here is wonderful and the tone and voice are just spot on.

Well done, it's a beautiful piece!

And I looooved the journal mention. ;-)

Oh, this is wonderful. You have a real talent for taking a HUGE psychological journey (which Meyer only HINTED at in Eclipse) and making it make sense to us through these glimpses into Edward's psyche, motivation, hopes, fears, and dreams. I love it.

You've got his voice spot-on, and I particularly like how he forces himself to correct his language (allow let be comfortable with) when he's trying to make himself a better man for her. His self-control is so tantalizing, his lapses even more so, in your capable hands. Particularly loved the image of his forehead pressed against her chest.

And I adore the moment he asks Alice to check again to "just see if she disappears forever." *sniffle*

And of course the journals ;), and the moment surrounding the discovery of them. He is ready to open up to Bella, to no longer be an island. His instrospection earlier was very precise, was it not?

Guh, I love angsty!Edward. I love him terribly. This was really gorgeous. :)

Oh, that was really, very good. I absolutely love the way you addressed Edward's freaky controlling tendency.

Thank you. I find the controlling tendencies particularly irksome, and had to sit back and think about why he would act that way.
