Forgot to mention that I got new issue of Bust a while ago - a couple of good interviews w/ Paramore's Hayley Williams + Rookie Mag's Tavi Gevinson plus a review of The Punk Singer (documentary about Kathleen Hanna) and a mention that there's a documentary about Bettie Page (which I must try + track down). Plus the usual craft-y/DIY type things.

Forgot to mention I got new issue of Vintage Life. They had a bit on 20s fashion + a history of perfume in the 20th century and some hair tutorials plus a guide to vintage shopping in Los Angeles. Also got the latest issue of Vintage Life magazine - I like the way they do try and expand their stuff beyond the standard 40s/50s retro things so they had Margot from the Royal Tenenbaums as a style icon plus 1920s flapper brides and the make-up/hair Q + A was geared towards those with dark skin and afro/curly hair which made a nice change as I ( Read more... )

I managed to get a cheap copy of The Goddess Guide which I'd been after for ages. It's sort of one of those lifestyle books --- you know, the sort of thing, this is the best recipe, these are the cool places in New York etc. but it's done in a very charming and quirky way plus the layout is absolutely gorgeous ( Read more... )
