This is delightful! I don't read a lot of Dean/Castiel, but this captures them beautifully. I really enjoyed the whole contrast in how Cas is losing his grace vs. Anna's big spectacular fall. You describe his fraying edges so well. I especially liked this: Castiel had pushed out his grace with every breath into Dean’s mouth, every slide of sweat-slick skin, every spending deep within his body. Nicely done!

I'm glad you liked the comparison! I thought it fit very well with the angels battling during the show, and how we saw Castiel change over the course of two seasons. :)

It is 3 AM and I love this more than almost anything on earth. SO BEAUTIFUL. So sensual. So hopeful, I love the tactile images and the word choice, "star-shards of lingering grace" is so beautiful. And smeared across the countryside with gasoline and exhaust and blood... ugnghgng, too beautiful for words.
