They're saving and being saved, hunting and being hunted, every day and night. Dean's heart pounds with worry when he sees Sam knocked backward by a creature or a demon; it swells in relief and admiration when Castiel bears down on the creature, burning its life away in one white-glowing palm. By the end of the fight, they're sweaty and smelly and covered in blood and guts, and they have to somehow stow their gear and make it back to the hotel in one piece, and so they don't touch, don't start the sparks flying for fear they might not be able to wait ( ... )

Oh my sexy boys! I really love the give and take here, how Sam and Dean go first, and how each of them can be patient waiting for the other, joining in when it seems most hot. It seems both loving and admirably equitable. And hawt. Did I mention hawt? 'Cause they ARE! :D Thank you sweetie!

Jim had always been smart, too smart. He’d learned early on that teacher did not like being corrected and that it didn’t matter if he was right. It didn’t matter if he got one hundred percent on everything because they just accused him of cheating. It didn’t take him long to get bored and stop trying. He dumbed himself down for them. School was filled with boredom, which led to mischief and ultimately got him sent to see the principal. After school was when he could be himself, learn at his pace. His brother’s material hadn’t presented much of a challenge, and it wasn’t long before he was registered for online university classes, conveniently hacking into his mother’s account to pay for them ( ... )

I love Kirk not just being smart, but showing that intelligence and suffering the consequences. People can get really mad at those smarter than them, and it's great to see Spock allowing Jim to be truly himself for the first time is lovely.

There's a fair amount of smart!Jim out there, but it tends to be shown in a positive light with no detrimental consequences. I wanted to do something different since I can't see kids changing that much. I'm so happy you enjoyed this. :)

Oh, one of my most dysfunctional relationships! Despite Luke being in way over his head in almost every way, and Sylar's too-hot-for-school lessons, there's still a faint underlying hint that maybe one day Sylar is going to realize he created a monster. :D Loved it sweet pea!
