This made me stop and think.! Does it have the same effect on anyone else?.

SCHOOL -  1957 vs. 2007

Scenario :

Jack goes rabbit shooting before school, pulls into school parking lot with rifle in gun rack.

1957 - Vice Principal comes over, looks at Jack's rifle, goes to his car and gets his rifle & chats with Jack about guns.

2007 - School goes into

I agree that all of these show the world's current stupidity...

EXCEPT - the one with the disruptive (read:ADD) child---neither example is acceptable to me.

ITA agree with you on that one chics. Although the school I went to did dole out 6 of the best.

Irrespective of age or sex,sometimes it was a ruler on the knuckles.

Not a way to discipline a child at all! Sadly it still gets used here but no where near as much.
