After a few months' hiatus, the
jantolution challenges return!
Also, as it's been over a week since the finale aired in the USA, series 2 information does not have to go behind a cut anymore. So, if you haven't seen the finale yet, you might want to stop reading, because the rest of the post contains vague spoilers for the finale.
The format of the challenges is different from last year's. Apart from the Summer Challenge, which will run for three months (June, July, August) and which will have a weekly, episode-related prompt, all challenges will have a general theme, with one or more additional prompt(s). All entries must fall within this theme. Bonus points for including the additional prompt(s). This can be anything from just a mention in passing to a major plot point.
So, onto the challenge itself!
The Fluff Challenge
Before the start of series 2, I was convinced the Jack/Ianto thing was going to end very, very badly and that an insane amount of fluff fic would be needed to cheer me up. I was wrong. Still, the finale was incredibly depressing, and what better way to cheer up than some happy-ended Jack/Ianto? And thus, this month's general theme is fluff. 'Only if you squint' fluff, 'so sweet it'll rot your teeth' fluff, cracky fluff, ... Anything goes!
Additional alien: Ewok. (Thanks,
moonshadow_nal!)
Da Rules:
- Deadline is on May the 30th. The first weekly prompt of the Summer Challenge will be posted the day after.
- No requirements regarding length or rating.
- All entries must fall within the general theme and incorporate the additional prompt in some shape or form.
- Since this is jantolution, all entries must feature Jack/Ianto and have a happy ending. 'Happy ending' being defined in the broadest sense, i.e. as long as they don't end up depressed or (permanently) dead it qualifies as a happy ending.
- Entries get the usual tags (fic and the rating, i.e. fic: pg-13 etc.) and the challenge #10 tag. I use the challenge #10 tag to make my end-of-challenge list, so if the tag is missing, chances are I'll overlook your entry. The tag challenge is for general posts about a challenge.
Have fun!
