I interpreted Chuck's comment to mean Dean's got to fix this but it all turns on Sam's choices. Dean started the apocolypse but if Sam goes darkside, we all lose.

I dunno. It made sense while I watched the episode, but doesn't make as much sense now.

And I agree, the fan-service is cute, but jarring. Kripke, stop reading fanfic. Fanfic is for US, not for the show to reference. We write the meta. YOU write the canon. Stop mixing my worlds dammit!

And apparently everyone's going on vacations! I'm a little jealous. I want a vacation. Have a nice trip and good luck packing!

This pretty much sums up exactly how I feel about this sort of thing. I know a lot of fans love this stuff and feel like their show is giving them a nice personal shout-out but it really is jarring. I was glad they got it out of the way upfront but I don't care for that "fourth wall" coming down...I want the show to exist in its own discrete universe. I don't want to know exactly what forums Kripke & Co. are reading after every episode.

I mostly agree with this... though since they did get it all out of the way in the first 10 minutes, I was able to enjoy it for what it was (and what it was, was funny--at least to me) and then enjoy the rest of the episode as "real."

Also, Samantha Mulder? Where?

Lilith is so very much more scary as a little girl.

I totally squeed when I saw Samantha Mulder with the big dangly earrings.

Okay, before anything -- please tell me someone besides me was sitting there thinking of Stephen King?

I was. I totally thought this was going to be a rip off of "Word Processor of the Gods".
