a) WOOHOO on finishing the Master's exams! As I said in the PM, the thesis will be a piece of cake and we'll soon have janie_tangerine, MA in the house. Congratulations and GO, YOU!! \o/

d) Berlusconi may -- perhaps -- actually be going to prison? Have sane Italians begun partying yet, or are you all waiting for the prison doors to clang shut behind him? ;D

1) Ah, SPN. I've spent the summer mostly ignoring the psycho fandom elements and being excited for S9 on my own terms. Never seen so many people bitch so loudly about the lack of female characters -- and then when one shows up, bitch even louder because she's now a threat to their pairing. At this point, I'm: "Just STFU and let me watch my show!" ;)

4) Guess I've now got to check out Breaking Bad, eh? That level of squee -- from YOU -- only means good things!

5) I know that dugindeep is working on a J2 version of Pacific Rim, so keep an eye out?

7) Thanks for the warning re Under the Dome, as I've read (and loved!) the book, haven't yet seen the miniseries, and tbh, am already unhappy ( ... )

Yay! It's so good to see a new entry from you, Janie. I'm missing a lot of my old flisters lately. If it were possible I'd go around Tumblr and Facebook and cyber-kidnap all my old LJ friends and bring them back here for a reunion. I'll have to wait till I become a cyber pirate. DO IT! I sucked at keeping up mostly because LJ requires effort and the last few months I really was bad at it, but I'M NOT GOING TO ABANDON THIS SHIP DAMN IT, I'll hang on to it as long as I can ;) and yes, we should have a reunion! (And Lj should stop implementing stupid changes so users maybe would come back damn them ( ... )

BREAKING BAD!!! I need to finish my S4 and S5 thoughts and post them before next Sunday, lol.

The show is flawless. Everything is thought out well in advance, characterization is immaculate, and I don't have one single negative nitpick about anything. It's just a damn good story.

Gus was indeed too cool to live. But the dude was badass.

I also feel completely flabbergasted at how much you actually pay in the US for cancer treatment - like honest if this show had been set in the EU (or here for that matter) I’m pretty sure that Walt would have gotten 90% of the therapy for free

Yeah. I've seen comments before that said that if this show had taken place in lots of other countries... well, it wouldn't have taken place. Because "getting" the money for treatment wouldn't even be an issue.

YES YOU DO! It's such an excellent show! And damn, I'm leaving again tomorrow so I can't watch but NEXT WEEK! ALL MINE! I just love the writing so much. And yeah, I don't really have one complain at all, it's really that good *dies of awesome*

Yep. He was. :(( I miss him though. As it is I was rooting for him rather than Walter since mid-S3 or something....

I think it really couldn't have even been conceived in Europe. Like, I'm pretty sure that if Walt had lived here he'd have paid maaaaaybe some meds, but I'm talking 5k maximum of stuff - at least here you don't pay zilch. :(
