Update on Charlie

Oct 20, 2011 12:15

My baby is home again. His bloodwork and urinalysis all came back normal. :) He was not a happy camper, though. As soon as I walked in I heard him crying in the back room. Dr. T said he ate and drank while he was in jail, but growled at a dog that was in for a spay. Riley went with me to pick him up, and was not pleased by the adventure, but when ( Read more... )

He's mostly licking his food, so he's not 100% yet. But he just roamed around the house, jumped up on the kitchen counter to see what I was doing and then on the tv stand to check that out. Those are really good signs that he's feeling better. :)

He is doing much better, though not 100% as far as his eating habits go. I'll have to talk to the vet again tomorrow, since the weekend is coming up and they're not open.

His actual name is Charlie Crews, but he gets called all things Charlie, Chuck and Charles. i do like calling him CEWIII because it is such a formal name for a goofy kitty. *g*

My boy is home! It's so strange when they're not here. He's not quite 100% yet. He's only licking his food and not eating the dry. Watching him today I realized he's been doing that for a while, except he was eating the dry and had some while in jail. I just don't know what's going on with him. Someone on kittypix said their cat was doing that and it had Irritable Bowel Disease/Syndrome. Have to talk to the vet again tomorrow before they close for the weekend.

He gets called all things Charlie, Chuck or Charles. His actual name is Charlie Crews after the lead character on Life, but I do enjoy calling him Charles Emmerson Winchester III. Such a big, formal name for such a goofy cat. *g*

Let me/us know what the vet says, okay?

There should be some kind of tranquilizer or happy pill for kitty-moms. No prescription necessary, just a note from the vet that says "We have her cat."

*Hugs and purrs and healthy thoughts* to you and Charlie from me and Kitty.

That right there is an excellent idea! And I don't even like taking drugs. For my cat-related anxiety I'd probably start. ;-)

He does seem to be mostly okay. I'll be happy when he really chows down.

So glad he's okay and home. It's always so weird being home when one of your babies isn't there. And all of your kittes are adorable.

It is very weird when they're not here. I hate leaving a cat at the vet even for a few hours. To leave him overnight was not an easy thing to do. Poor guy was so scared. He's settled down now that he's home, though.

Thank you. I think my kitties are adorable too. ;-)
