So, just finished Flesh and Bone. Kara suddenly interests me; I'll admit, she really didn't until this episode. I know, everyone loves her, but I just wasn't feeling it until now. Still not my favorite character or anything (I'm already a hardcore Laura fan, as if you didn't all see that coming), but am very interested in Kara as well now. Also am ( Read more... )

I'm not a big Kara fan either. ;) I find her interesting, but she isn't my "type", if you know what I mean? Oh, and now you've been introduced to Airlock!Laura. Awesome ( ... )

Definitely not the only one. :D

I'll probably be posting as I work my way through the series, so you can laugh at my freak-outs. Lol. Airlock!Laura is my favorite Laura so far, I think. <3 Though the episode I watched afterwards, with Ellen showing up for the first time, had so many laugh-out-loud moments that it might compete with Flesh and Bone for my favorite so far. And then!! Roslin and Adama dancing at the end of... the one that I can't remember the name of, but it had the VP elections. <3 I know nothing about the actual canon pairings and whatnot, but oh, am hoping for that one. Or at least hints of that one. Of course, even if it doesn't happen in canon, it totally will in my head. And, um, on my computer. Yay, fanfic.

My love for Kara is like my love for S1 Nikita. Both of them are very strong, irreverent, and thrown into one hell of a paradigm shift; but both of them have issues that sort of add an odd poignancy to their characters.

Have any of the minor characters caught your eye, yet? I was always quite fond of Cally, myself.

I can totally see that. I think that's why, honestly, I didn't like Kara to - the Kara and Nikita parallels. Kara really did just suddenly get more interesting to me. Lol.

So far, I think Tyrol is my favorite minor character. Or Helo, if he really counts as 'minor', which is debateable. I also really like Billy and Gaeta so far, and Cally won a special place in my heart after she bit off that guy's ear.... <3 Really, this show is just made of awesome and huge amounts of win.
