Summary: What if the well hadn’t reopened one last time?
Kagome Houjou goes to the airport to see off her husband. He is a busy man and travels around the world.
He asks her to take care and kisses her head. Kagome nods pleasantly and waves her hand.
Under an umbrella, she hurries back to her air-conditioned car. She has shut her ears to the thunder; the rain no longer touches her luminous skin.
The car stops before her mansion. Kagome leaves a few instructions with her servants. Ever the efficient mistress of the house - efficient and confident. She climbs up the stairs gracefully and shuts her bedroom door.
Alone in the room, Kagome looks in the mirror at her well made-up face. She takes off the heavy pearl necklace that sits on her neck like an iron chain. She smiles her usual gentle smile. A small raindrop runs down her hair and trails her cheek like a tear.
Next morning, Kagome is found hanging from the ceiling of her bedroom. It baffles everyone. She seemed so happy - she had everything in the palm of her hands!

But at the mortuary, if they cut open her heart, they would have found a picture. Of a young boy with strange clothes and silver hair.
