since this is the only way i know to get in touch with you, i just wanted to let you know that i got your letters this afternoon. thank you for writing to me. i can't promise you that i'll be able to write you back immediately. i moved from ferndale to lowell, mass. last week & this week i'm going to be slowly moving my stuff out to cambridge.

that honestly wasn't my intent, alex, & i'm sorry that it came across like that. i really wasn't trying to be "cold." the only reason i posted it in the first place is because i can't call you & i don't have email & i know that you wanted to know if i'd gotten them or not. i'm aware that you know that i moved. all i was trying to say is that i'm going to be moving *again* all this week (which you don't know all of the details about) & commuting an hour and a half on top of working twelve hour days, so i don't know if i'll be able to write you back right right away.

i'm going to write you back as soon as i can though, i promise.

this is the main reason i don't like communicating online.
