That's a pretty area. Is it near you? Or is this perhaps where you grew up?

The beach itself is a short walk from the remote youth hostel I discovered in 1994. In 1998, after an operation that went wrong, I very nearly died of Peritonitis, and as I drifted in and out of consciousness I fought strongly to live because I knew I just had to visit this beach again!! Thank you very much.

This is actually my first and only (so far) attempt at prose/poetry/whatever it is. Maybe a dodgy time to have experimented, but it felt right to write my love for the place in this form.

A wonderful poem, and so descriptive. I'm glad you added the picture, and the history and additional photograph. It sounds and looks wonderful.

I'm away there again for a week in about 6 weeks time and I'm looking forward to it!

Lovely place!! I love the Atlantic Ocean, (Which we are only a mile and a half from!) and the first thing I noticed was how blue the water looked on your side of the ocean! And the poem was beautiful, also!
