First off, are you sure that you didn't just see one of Feliciano's sugar gliders? Or maybe one of the dogs tails?

And if you were actually going to do something were looking for it, the vacuum is with the other household items, in the large cupboard at the end of the hall on the second floor.

It's fine.
As far as I'm aware, Ludwig Gilbert and Feli are in a large house near the mansion, and Romano is living/squatting/destroying the mansion house all on his own.
