I'm worried about the young girls

Last night (World AIDS Day) I went to a show at Trumbullplex. I went into the basement for the first time cause that is where the show was. I got to hang out with Sicily and there was a small number of people hanging out. I was feeling pretty good. Lots of people were smiling. Bobby played first. I like Bobby and his music. He played some ( Read more... )

The Sodom and Gomorrah story might be ambiguous, but other parts of the Bible are not. Leviticus 20:13 says, "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." God is commanding (not suggesting) that all homosexual men be killed.

In the Quran, God condemns homosexuality as an unnatural abomination (e.g., 7:80-81, 26:165-6, 27:54-55, 29:28-29). It also contains a version of the Sodom and Gomorrah story, where Lot condemns the men specifically for being homosexuals.

I tried reading the Quran. I just couldn't do it. The Bible at least has an overall structure, with most of the Old Testament being a continuous, chronological narrative. The Quran consists of 114 suras, each a rambling chapter on correct behavior, altered versions of Bible stories, and miscellaneous theological points. The only order I can see in the Quran is that the suras are arranged by length, from the longest to the shortest ( ... )

Is the Crow Manor you mentioned the same thing as or related to the Crow's Nest on Rosa Parks where Jacob and Timothy lived?

I don't think I know Jacob or Timothy. So I don't really know. As mentioned in the post, I'm on the edge of this whole society, but Dave is known as 'Crow' or 'Crow Daddy' and many things were named in his honor. So the Crow's Nest might be related.
Crow Manor, as far as I know has always been on Trumbull at MLK. That Dave guy bought the house, maybe he lived on Rosa Parks previously? Or maybe it was just a brother or sister house? I don't know.

The "Crows Nest" I'm thinking of is at 2718 Rosa Parks Blvd. A year or two ago Anny and I found out that they had vegan-friendly potlucks there and went to a few and I actually met people I liked. But the couple who lived there, Jacob Corvidae (who works for the WARM Training Center) and his partner Timothy (a bio-female) moved to Ann Arbor and stopped having the potlucks. I was upset. We've since heard that they have gotten divorced, but there has been no word on the potlucks resuming. Their home was the upper half of a two-family home, and it was an extremely awesome historic home. They said they would rent the house out when they moved, but I have no idea if either of them moved back after their separation.

So yeah, they just look like two different Crows Nests.

Thats interesting because I have passed by that place (a few months ago) and remember seeing a "Crow's Nest" sign out front. I don't know.
