Once Upon a Time in Wonderland 1x04: The Serpent

Wow! I think I kind of... liked this ep? A lot? Despite being relatively Knave-lite, it was action-packed, had a few interesting confrontations and the minimum of Alice/Cyrus humdrum. All in all, I think it was worth waiting for.

Yes, this is actually the first ep when I was actually interested and not just awwwing at Knave))))

Cool confrontations and yes, Cyrus finally did smth useful... except I don't want him out bc they'd have mushy moments with Alice :/ and angst over her making wishes.

Jafar turned into a semi-cool villain! Less flashy and he'd be great. LOL, I bet his staff would come to life and strangle him or smth XD Instead of being shippy :D

Still, it's touching that Alice would spend a wish on Will. And I do love how ruthless Jafar is. Ruthless, but not stupid. He stops torturing her pretty quickly because he understands it's not the way. And let's not forget the Red Queen's words about Wonderland being a prison. She and Alice seem to have interesting history together, and I'm curious about it.

yes, cool XD

Red Queen and Alice are ttly femslashy. They need more moments like that!

And there should be more of those valets.

By the way, who's willing to bet the old dude chatting with Cyrus is the sultan?lmao, he spends the episode insisting on ( ... )

Same here. XD There was a bit less eyerolling on my part too. XD
Ugh, I don't want Cyrus and Alice to reunite either. Cyrus could potentially be an okay character if he wasn't so mushy. T_T Then again, if those two idjits find each other, they might stop angsting so much and focus on helping the Knave. XD
I bet his staff would come to life and strangle him or smth This should be the show's finale. XDDDD Jafar should kill them all (except the Knave who escapes to Storybrooke or wherever) and is like: muhahha, I won. The staff wakes up, strangles him and goes: LOL nope you didn't. XDDD
he spends the episode insisting on killing ppl off and then keeps the sultan alive Well, it's his epic revenge apparently XDDDDDD Daddy, look how cool I am! XD

To be fair, everyone on this show has terrible fashion sense (I'm disappointed the Knave didn't mention that either when he talked to the Red Queen in prison XD))). I thought Jafar looked almost cute in the flashbacks but when it comes to the present timeline, he doesn't even need magic to scare people, his outfits are enough. XD (Now I'm imagining Jafar in one of the Red Queen's dresses >_<)))
LOL, if we could predict the Jafar/staff pairing, maybe we can predict some Knave/Cyrus or smth? XD
I'm glad she didn't back down either and I liked the whole "The best thing to make me do something is to tell me I can't" thing. I wonder: why the hell did he tell her that then? XDDD He doesn't look like a suicidal type.
"You're tripped in Wanderland, Illice. You billong to the Ridd Queen now!" *duck-lipped smugness* LMAAAAAO XDDD I wonder if this is how her lines are written in the script. Mb she's like: wtf is this? And the writers go: It's how a Queen sounds, bb. XD ( ... )

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. ;)) Imagine Alice going all: I wish you two got along better (or smth like that). XDDD And one things leads to another... I'm a queen of wishful thinking when it comes to stupid shows. XD
Maybe Jafar's wigs are cutting off blood supply to his brain. LMAO! Obviously!
Aww, poor Cyrus! But hey, he was like that before he was captured... then again, I don't think there was a bathroom in his bottle. >_<
Oh, I knoooow, but struggled so hard not to fall asleep during the episode and there was so little of Damien that I have no idea what to write. >_< He's cute, he sucks as a copper and I like the faces he's making, that's about it. I will write smth next week if there's more of him... I think I can only overanalyze 5 seconds of Andrew Gower to pieces; it doesn't work that way with other actors. XD As cute as Albert is, I don't see much personality there yet and I can't have fun at the expense of everyone else because there's not much crack in the show. Oddly enough, a miraculous thing has happened (maybe ( ... )

I was so happy to find out that Jafar, at least, has a different background! Yes, it started from revenge on his father, but he ended up going much further than that. And I also think the old guy is the sultan, by the way. :P

I really liked the episode, to be honest, and yes, the valets!! As for Will: they better bring him back, because I kind of need his snarkiness to keep things interesting.

Me too! Here's hoping they won't ruin him anymore. >_<
I think it was actually the best episode so far. It didn't focus too heavily on the annoying Alice/Cyrus issues, it developed the baddies and it would have been completely perfect with a bit more Knave in the mix. ;))I want him back too!

Just watched this ep and somewhere in the middle I caught myself thinking "huh, so this episode is actually mostly enjoyable."

It's a bit disturbing that I like him more in the flashbacks than in the present timeline; he's grown kind of... too flashy?

Yes! Also, it looked like he stole his outfit this episode from a closet on Gallifrey.

"Bloody hell" is back.

It's never going away, is it. I should just give up hope and learn to tune it out now.

The not-so-long-awaited meeting between Will and Anastasia turned out to be surprisingly not bad.

I actually really enjoyed all of their scenes in this episode, particularly the exchange in the cell where Will challenged her to kill him. Still agree on the actress, though I find that even she is growing on me just a little at times. Not most of the time...but sometimes.

This episode was also oddly... femslash-y. XD I don't need much, just a bit of violence.I was good with this as well ( ... )

Haha, it was a surprise for me too. The first 3 eps were much worse imho. XD
Also, it looked like he stole his outfit this episode from a closet on Gallifrey. LMAO, I wonder what shape Jafar's TARDIS would have XDDDD
The Red Queen is definitely growing on me as a character. I've discovered that I mostly look forward to her scenes now because Alice just bores me so much and Jafar isn't all that badass either. Idk about the actress, I still don't like her face or her acting, but she doesn't annoy me as much as she did in the first 2 or 3 episodes.
Lizard/Will, eh, not as much Yeeeah, I'd rather they didn't go there. But then, her character seems to have disappeared for a while. O_o IDEK what she was for.
Agree the wishbone thing was pretty neat, except for the love parallel. I feel that this could be the slogan of this show: It could be neat except for the love XDDDD
I'm pretty sure that's not the logistical issue that I'm supposed to be thinking about when shown cages hanging over a really deep pit... You're not alone though. I do ( ... )
