The White Queen 1x10. Once More Into the Gower!

Aug 19, 2013 00:50

Tonight a new game has been invented: spot the Gower! Because, honestly, following his career is becoming more and more frustrating by the minute. Here comes the Gower'd rendition of The White Queen 1x10 brought to you by shirogiku and yours truly. The previous episode has been dubbed by us "FATHER! BEARD!"; this one was supposed to have been "FATHER! SWORD ( Read more... )

I'm just laughing maniacally here, including at my dragon-sized screen caps.

LOL, they were resized. They would have been bigger!
The last one though, coupled with the Gollum gifs, gives me scary thoughts XD

This entire post was highly entertaining. I laughed out loud when I got to the second gollum gif.

Thanks! XD But ugh, seriously, Andrew Gower just needs better roles! As much fun as I'm having making such posts, I'd rather gush about his acting abilities than about him standing there like a prop.

INCREDIBLE acting Gower. Loved every second (of which there were many!)

I'm wondering if the sword screencap is from the Starz episodes. There have already been Ben Lamb scenes that weren't in the BBC version. So we'll have to watch it all again....fun!

And that's it. Until Murdoch Mysteries and Out of Darkness (the film that will NEVER be released it seems) are released anyway...oh and Rosewater, in which he will sit in the background editing a film avidly. Or an Avid film. One of the two...

It was, wasn't it!? Especially during the ball. I swear he looks drunk there. Poor thing must have been bored out of his mind.
Ugh, that's just evil! I remember they did the same thing with Torchwood s4, but I never watched that one live and I somehow always found the least censored/shortened versions online. Perhaps the sword shot is just a promo of some kind. In which case it's ridiculous. XD Was it too much to hope Andrew would get to actually do something in this episode? *sob*
LOL, yes, when I saw his credits in Rosewater... Well, maybe he won't die at least. XD Careful, Andrew, your fame as Sean Bean 2.0 is becoming a little exaggerated at this point. XD So many sharp objects around you in White Queen, and you still managed to survive XD

I don't think it was a BBC promo shot as it doesn't appear on BBC Pictures and Company Pictures say they have no stills. Argh! I emailed his agent but she never got back to me (I don't think she likes me...)

I'm getting a bit fed up with the lack of promotion he gets. He has a credit for a rehearsed reading at a theatre in Plymouth on his CV and it just says "2013" so I don't know whether it's happened yet or not and no one seems to be able to tell me. The same thing happened when he did a reading at the Royal Court in London - it came and went with no publicity. My website has had over 32,000 hits in less than a year yet his agent tells me nothing. You would think his agent would want people to know who is was so that he'd be more likely to get work?!

*rant over*

I'm beginning to think she doesn't like him b/c wtf is it with the roles he's been getting? O_o
Oh, that is extremely annoying! Another thing I don't understand: how can he be relegated to basically playing living props after his role in BH? It was a pretty substantial supporting role, and Making History was lauded as one of the best BH episodes. He was bound to be noticed! And yet, he's back to lurking in the background. Why!?
