[It came. It finally came.

Ingrid's intangibility device has finally come, and finally been sanitized, and her journal name finally makes sense.

So Ingrid is out on the town.

She's in every shop, around every house, staring at everything in wonder because she can finally see it up close and in person. And the people! People she can go up to and talk

[ Ange is just standing right outside one of the community apartment buildings, looking around for a bit when she spots the two from a little distance. She can't help but lift an eyebrow at the.. well, rather strange equipment, but she doesn't say anything about it yet. There are more pretty weird things in this place, after all. ... The girl seems somewhat familiar, though. ]

[You seem familiar too. Ingrid frantically flips through her mental Rolodex as she walks closer, steps slowing down as she gets closer and still can't place the girl in front of her. When she gets within earshot she stops and gives a friendly wave.]

Hi. Um... do I know you?

[repudiationist]

[ Ange is usually pretty antisocial - but hey, she can't ignore someone once they're that close and waving at her. She gives a slight nod as a sort of greeting back. ]

Hey. [ She frowns just slightly, trying to remember. ] ... We might have talked over the journals sometime.

[intangible_girl]

I think so...

Ange?

[ Another nod. ]

Yeah. And.. Ingrid, right?

[intangible_girl]

Right!

It's great to finally meet you in person.

Just sidling in here... hope nobody minds :D;;

[At this point, Ange might notice the new face here - a very awkward-looking, and possibly sad in a distracted sort of way, skinny little scientist near Ingrid.

He's looking down at his feet awkwardly, but he still looks up at Ange enough to make an uncomfortable attempt at a greeting.]

... A-Ah... salutations.

... I... I do not believe we have m-met before, but... I am a friend of Ingrid's.

[Not that he expects this person to care. He's just... acknowledging his presence.]

I don't mind at all! ♥

Yeah, it isn't quite common to meet people actually in person here, it's much more convenient to just use the journals--

[ She stops though when she notices the other presence. A sort of nervous guy, huh? It still doesn't really change Ange's continuous deadpan attitude though. ]

No, I don't think we have.. I'm still fairly new here either way. Still good to meet you, I guess.

Yes, this is my friend Robert Hastings. He's been helping me out a lot.

[Robert half-waves uncomfortably at this, looking so very stilted and awkward.]

... It is g-good to meet you too, yes.

And, er, w-well... I try, Ingrid. [He tries so very hard.]

Just looking around, I guess. [ She gives a tiny shrug. ] It's not like there's much else to do here.

... And helping you? With what?

With my condition, [Ingrid says smoothly. She indicates her outfit.] This stuff isn't just for show.

[Robert brightens just a bit at this. Something he can ramble about! This is safer than talking about himself.]

Y-Yes, it is very... n-necessary for Ingrid. Specifically, it is her i-intangibility device.

... Wh-what it does is allows her p-protection from pathogens in the e-environment, which is v-very necessary for her.

W-would... Would you wish to explain yourself, Ingrid...?

I figured as much. [ Even if she does still sound deadpan, she isn't too rude or anything about it - after all, her deadpan doesn't go as far as to insult other people for no reason. ]

I don't think anyone would want to walk around with that, given the choice-- although.. intangibility? Protection from.. germs? [ She raises an eyebrow. ]

[Grr. Robert, why do you insist on showing her off like a science experiment? She stifles a sigh and puts a smile on her face as she explains.]

I was born without an immune system, so my father invented this device to allow me to leave my bubble. [The short version of the story.]

[He isn't doing it on purpose! He just finds Ingrid's device exciting and awesome, kind of like a rocket-powered wheelchair.]

I-Is it not a brilliant piece of magitechnology? Absolutely remarkable... [He actually smiles a little bit, still nervously.] O-Or, or at least I th-think so.
